Individual Development Plans (IDPs)

To support each colleague’s professional development, leaders work with team members to establish an IDP. These tailored action plans, which colleagues review with their leaders twice a year, go beyond performance goals—they help expand and deepen the skills colleagues need for their current position and potential future roles.

Ongoing training and development

We devote significant training and resources for development and career planning. Both leaders and colleagues take part in workshops, individual career coaching sessions and skills building opportunities.

Colleague Resource Groups (CRGs)

To create greater organizational awareness of the power of diversity, Associated Bank offers seven CRGs. Each group specifically focuses on addressing the unique needs of these populations within our company and the markets we serve. More than 50% of our colleagues are involved in one or more CRGs, taking part in more than 150 in-house and community events each year.

Our commitment to the military community

At Associated Bank, we proudly support our veterans, current members of the military and their families. We offer a wide range of focused initiatives not only for our colleagues, but for our customers and communities.

Veterans Affairs (VA) loans, flexible mortgage options that can be more affordable than other loans and include assistance with closing costs. 
A veteran hiring initiative that proactively recruits military candidates for careers at Associated Bank through several partnerships. 
For active-duty colleagues, we offer continuation of pay for up to six months per deployment and during annual required training, as well as retention of benefits for up to 24 months.
Reimbursement for colleagues traveling to a site from which an immediate family member will be deployed for military duty. 
Our Veterans Colleague Resource Group offers networking and professional development opportunities and supports active service members, veterans, military families and veteran organizations in our communities.
