Important message regarding Equifax

Dear Associated Bank Customer:

You may be aware that on September 7, 2017, consumer credit reporting bureau Equifax announced a cybersecurity incident potentially impacting approximately 143 million U.S. consumers. As stated in their release, based on the company's investigation, the unauthorized access occurred from mid-May through July 2017.

Our concern, first and foremost, is the potential impact of this incident on you. While the compromise did not occur at Associated Bank, it may involve some of our customers.

To date, the amount of available information related to this incident has been extremely limited. Nonetheless, Associated Bank and our employees have responded immediately to help ensure the integrity of our customers’ accounts.

While Associated Bank regularly monitors customers’ accounts for signs of fraud, we recommend customers take extra care to examine their statements and contact us regarding any suspected unauthorized activity.

For additional security, customers should also change the passwords on their accounts. After logging into Online Banking, you may change your password and update additional personal information under the “My Profile” tab.

Our 24/7/365 Customer Care team, available at 800-236-8866, is working with customers to review account activity as necessary and responding to other concerns our customers might have. Due to unusually high call volumes, customers may experience longer than usual wait times.

I want to reinforce that this incident arose independently of Associated Bank. Our operations did not cause the unauthorized release of consumer information. Nevertheless, we take the protection of your information very seriously and are committed to providing quality and secure banking services.
