Export Financing

Leveling the Playing Field

Stay competitive with foreign firms that receive trade finance support from their governments. Associated Bank connects you to export financing programs and credit insurance offered by the U.S. government and private insurers that can mitigate your commercial and political trade risk.

Pre-export Financing

Using the Export Working Capital Guarantee Program available through the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) or the Small Business Administration (SBA), Associated Bank can provide pre-shipment financing to exporters that might not otherwise qualify.

Short-Term Financing of Receivables

Insure your receivables through the Ex-Im Bank or private insurers to enhance post-shipment financing options. Banker’s acceptances and export credit insurance meet financing needs for up to 180 days. Lenders typically subtract foreign receivables when determining how much a company can borrow.

Medium-Term Financing for Capital Goods

Offer potential customers the medium-term financing (181 days to five years) often necessary to sell capital goods, heavy equipment and other durable products. Associated uses Ex-Im Bank insurance and loan guarantee programs to pay the exporter at time of shipment and book a loan to the foreign buyer. We welcome transactions of all sizes, generally $250,000 to $5,000,000.
