COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

01. Is Associated Bank as involved in the community as Bank Mutual?
Associated Bank and Bank Mutual both play an active role in supporting the health of their communities and will continue this commitment in the markets the combined companies will serve. Together, the companies had approximately $1 billion in lending and investments to minority and low- to moderate-income customers and communities and provided more than 67,000 hours of volunteer services in 2017. Associated Bank will continue its commitment to the communities we serve.


GENERAL INFORMATION

01. Why is Bank Mutual becoming part of Associated Bank?
Associated Bank and Bank Mutual share a rich history of helping individuals, families and businesses meet their financial goals. By coming together, we will be able to offer customers better access to banking locations, a wider range of services and ongoing support to the communities we serve.
02. When does Associated Bank plan to integrate the two companies?
Our colleagues are already working together to ensure a smooth integration process for our customers. Customers will first experience changes in late June/July. We’ll keep you informed along the way to ensure you understand what’s happening when and how to get answers to the questions you may have.
03. When and how will I be notified of changes that impact me and my banking relationship?
We will continue to send information to you to keep you up to date on changes and progress toward becoming one fully integrated bank. Details will include important information about your Bank Mutual accounts and what you can expect from Associated Bank. You will receive additional letters and/or emails from us with more details as we move toward conversion in late June/July. In the meantime, you can find the latest information at AssociatedBank.com/BankMutual.


LOCATIONS AND ATMS

01. What is happening with Associated Bank and Bank Mutual locations?
Associated Bank currently has over 200 locations serving more than 100 communities throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. As part of the integration process, some branch locations will close and others will convert to Associated Banks. Our goal throughout this process is ensuring you continue to have access to branches located at or near where you currently bank.
02. Can I go to an Associated Bank location for banking transactions?
For services related to Bank Mutual accounts, you should continue to use Bank Mutual branches until conversion in late June/July. You can also contact the Bank Mutual Customer Care department at 800-261-6888, Monday–Friday 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. or Saturday 8 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. After conversion, you can visit any Associated Bank location or call the 24/7/365 Associated Bank Customer Care team at 800-504-0008.
03. When can I use Associated Bank ATMs?
Starting immediately, ATMs at Associated Bank AND Bank Mutual locations can be used by customers of both banks without an access fee. You’ll be able to use your Bank Mutual debit and ATM cards at Associated Bank ATMs AND have surcharge-free access to the extensive MoneyPass network of ATMs, with more than 25,000 locations nationwide.*

MY ACCOUNTS

01. How and where do I bank now?
For now, continue banking as usual with Bank Mutual. You can continue to access your accounts using your existing checks, deposit slips, ATMs, and mobile and online banking, and by visiting your nearest Bank Mutual branch. In mid-April, you’ll learn more about the upcoming changes to your accounts and products. In late June/July, your accounts and products will officially transfer to Associated Bank. Rest assured, you’ll have all of the information you need in advance of the conversion.
02. Will my account numbers change?
You can keep your account numbers. In the rare instance in which an account number change is required, you will be notified in advance, and Associated Bank will assist you with the steps to obtain a new account number.
03. What is happening to my checking, savings and/or money market accounts?
For now, continue banking as usual. We will contact you in mid-April with more specifics of how your accounts will be converted to comparable Associated Bank products and what changes will occur. After the conversion to Associated Bank products in late June/July, you will conduct banking directly through Associated Bank.
04. What will happen to my certificate of deposit (CD)?
Your CD will continue to earn the existing rate for the remainder of its term. More information regarding Associated Bank CDs will be provided in mid-April. For now, your CD will remain at Bank Mutual until time of conversion in late June/July.
05. What is happening to my loan application?
Any application taken prior to February 1, 2018, will continue to be processed by Bank Mutual. Any application taken on or after February 1, 2018, will be processed by Associated Bank.
06. What will happen to my mortgage loan?
The terms, payments and loan numbers of your loans will not change once they become part of Associated Bank. You will receive additional information on how to make payments once the loans are converted in late June/July, but nothing else about your loans should change.
07. What will happen to my consumer loan?
The terms, payments and loan numbers of your loans will not change once they become part of Associated Bank. You will receive additional information on how to make payments once the loans are converted in late June/July, but nothing else about your loans should change.
08. Will I get a new debit card?
Yes, a new Associated Bank Debit Mastercard® will be issued to you in late June/July. This mailing will include instructions on when you may use your new card(s). Until that time, you should continue using your current Bank Mutual debit card.
09. Will I get a new ATM card?
Yes, a new Associated Bank ATM card will be issued to you in late June/July. This mailing will include instructions on when you may use your new card(s). Until that time, you should continue using your current Bank Mutual ATM card. These designs are limited to the Associated Bank standard card type and not available in the affinity debit card designs.
10. Will I need to get new checks?
You can continue to use your existing checks. When you are ready to reorder through Associated Bank, the new routing number of your Associated Bank account will automatically print on your checks.
11. What will happen to my credit cards?
New credit cards will be issued shortly after conversion in late June/July. All credit lines, transaction data, statements and rewards points (if applicable) will move to Associated Bank with your account.
12. What will happen to my home equity line of credit (HELOC)?
The terms, payments and loan numbers of your loans will not change once they become part of Associated Bank. You will receive additional information on how to make payments once the loans are converted in late June/July, but nothing else about your loans should change.
13. What will happen to my Health Savings Account (HSA)?
We will contact you in mid-April with more specifics of how your accounts will be converted to comparable Associated Bank products and what changes will occur. After the conversion to Associated Bank products in late June/July, you will conduct banking directly through Associated Bank.
14. What will happen to my automatic clearing house (ACH) payments or deposits?
Any automatic payments or deposits you currently have established will continue to function as they have at Bank Mutual, but will transition to Associated Bank at time of conversion in late June/July.
15. What will happen to my business accounts?
We will send separate information specific to business products and services to business customers.
16. What will happen to my safe deposit box?
If you have a safe deposit box, you will receive a mailing in mid-April with details specific to you.
17. Will I have access to additional products and services?
Yes! In addition to our varied suite of products and services, Associated Bank is pleased to be the Bank of the Packers and has relationships with the Milwaukee Brewers™, Wisconsin Badgers™, Minnesota Wild® and Milwaukee Film Festival. 18. Will my previously scheduled payments/transfers continue after conversion?
Yes. Recurring payments or transfers that were scheduled through Bank Mutual’s online and mobile banking system will automatically carry over to Associated Bank.
19. When authorizing electronic (ACH) payments from my account, what account and routing number should I use?
Continue to provide your Bank Mutual account and routing numbers to authorize ACH payments through June 24. Starting June 25, you will use Associated Bank’s routing number. Unless we’ve already notified you otherwise, your account number will not change.


ONLINE AND MOBILE BANKING

01. What will happen to my online and mobile banking access?
For now, continue using Bank Mutual online and mobile banking. We will contact you in mid-May with more specifics regarding the conversion of online and mobile services to Associated Bank. After the conversion to Associated Bank in late June/July, you will access online banking through AssociatedBank.com. All of the features and tools you are familiar with today will still be available, as well as new digital banking experiences.

*Associated Bank and MoneyPass ATM access is free for Associated Bank customers only when you withdraw funds up to the amount of your available balance. ATMs outside of the Associated and MoneyPass networks may charge a fee. In addition, Associated Bank may charge a non-Associated ATM fee, and balance inquiry fees may apply. For Associated Bank Elite Checking customers only, non-Associated ATM fees will not be charged when using a non-Associated Bank ATM. MoneyPass is a registered trademark of Elan Financial Services.
