If you receive a check drawn on a Canadian Bank in either U.S. Dollars or Canadian Dollars, it can be cashed or deposited into your account at any one of our branch locations, or included in a regular deposit made by mail. An adjustment will be made to your account to reflect the difference between the Canadian Dollar and the U.S. Dollar value.
International checks drawn on foreign banks in currencies other than Canadian Dollars may also be presented for deposit at any of our various branch locations. The bank associate will obtain and apply the foreign exchange rate in effect at the time and deposit the U.S. Dollar equivalent to the appropriate account or provide you with payment.
International checks drawn in U.S. Dollars on a foreign bank will be sent to the bank on which they are drawn on a "collection" basis. Associated Bank will credit your account only upon receipt of the funds from the drawee bank, less any applicable charges.
