International Checks

Associated Bank will handle international checks received by our customers for encashment in over 90 different currencies.

If you receive a check drawn on a Canadian Bank in either U.S. Dollars or Canadian Dollars, it can be deposited into your account at any one of our branch locations, or included in a regular deposit made by mail. An adjustment will be made to your account to reflect the difference between the Canadian Dollar and the U.S. Dollar value.

International checks drawn on foreign banks in currencies other than Canadian Dollars and international checks drawn in U.S. Dollars on a foreign bank may also be presented at any of our various branch locations. These checks will be sent to the bank on which they are drawn on a "collection" basis. Associated Bank will credit your account only upon receipt of the funds from the drawee bank, less any applicable charges.
